I would have got an actual PC but I travel allot and I like to play games during my downtime.ĮDIT: and whilst macs bootcamp is awesome you will still only get what the mac can handle. And thats because I wanted to play games on full whack. But there is a reason I invested in a gaming laptop. I love mine to bits, but I use it for my work, and it does a banging job. This is coming from an apple freak, don't get a macbook or even an imac if you primary reason for doing so is gaming. When it comes to pricing my £800 gaming laptop (which had good enough specs to run GTA V full whack with no problems at all, i've since spent a bit more money adding a larger SSD and upgrading the RAM) wipes the floor with my £1800 macbook.
future proof? you can't upgrade them yourself which means that when the time does come and you need an upgrade you'll either be looking at hefty costs going to a professional or having to buy a new mac all together.
The problem with most apple products is that they arn't exactly. I've grown up with apple products, and they are great for so many things (I use my mac mainly for photo/ video editing and mixing music) but you just can't beat a good old, easily upgradable windows computer. Honestly? As someone with a mac and PC i'd go for pc for gaming hands down.
